All that you have lived before, you will live again

December 21, 2004 at 9:26PM My ring tone: Lament

I wrote this ages ago, but I want to post it somewhere so I won’t lose it if my phone dies or something. And vanity, of course. [wink]

Model: Nokia 3310 Tempo: 180BPM

2d2 4d2 4c2 4d2

4g1 2a1 4a1 2f1
4f1 2g1 4g1 2e1

4d1 4e1 4d1 4e1

Note: I ought to change the note lengths ‘cause this really should use a lower beat rate.

It’s an abbreviated version of the whole tune, which is why there’s that slightly dodgy transition--which, I’m thankful, nobody notices--in the middle.

Hey! Hell, no! 3310? It gotta be better. But, I’m to try the ringtone. I’ll rate you. I thought I was alone on the fixation! [smile]

It works fine for me, so I’m in no rush to upgrade. I’ve never understood the fixation some people have with getting things just to impress others when the don’t need them.

I’m yet to review it. And, hey, you need the 6260, not to impress, but so you can use the features. I lost the former paper.

Nope, I know the phone and there’s not really anything on it I’m too bothered about getting it for. Browser? Nope. MP3 player? I’ve already got an iPod and it’d be able to store much more. Camera? Maybe, but I’m not too bothered.

Nah, the only thing I might find it useful for is as a testbed for writing Java games.

Yes. The Java. Then, I like your ringtone. Everyone at home does. The name (Lament) is poetic. It would even suit better at 112BPM.

It starts a bit like Amazing Grace. But it loses track around the end. And, the first 4e2 is where the skipping is. I failed to edit it. Open Source? The rating? 4-and-a-half stars. Good, inspiring stuff.

And, you could stick to the 3310 and just use the Symbian OS SDK to make the games. But, still, you may want to flash a phone at the bar. The idiot with the 7670 will win the chics!

Spammers, don’t bother posting crap down here. The site is set up so that legitimate search engines (Google, for instance) won’t index pages with comments on them. Posting crud here only means you’re wasting my time and patience. Shoo!
