It’s so pretty! Who needs MS’s Aero when you have this!
Caught in the action
Gavin posted this up about a fortnight ago, but I’m only just after seeing it. In it, a Fox News reporter gets shot at by the IDF.
The studio reaction is classic, for example: First Guy: “Well, you know, someone sees you and they are just going to fire at you”, Second Guy: “Really?”; and, Second Guy: “I still don’t understand, Dan, it said ‘Press’, that’s the colour, that’s universal”, First Guy: “Bad guys shoot at anything”, Second Guy: “Right, but it’s Israel?!”
I don’t know what’s funnier: the stupidity and ineptitude of the studio presenters, or their cognitive dissonance. Instant comedy!

Understanding Monads Via Python List Comprehensions
I never bore of collecting these articles. Some day when I’m able to get Shimubi off my laptop (or just rewrite it from memory) and merge the linklog and weblog, the tag with the most posts’ll probably be “monads”.

"Wait, Aren't You Scared?"
Osama Bin Laden got everything on his Christmas list after 9/11–US out of Saudi Arabia; the greatest military in the world over-extended, pinned down and distracted; the greatest proponent of democracy suddenly alienated from its allies; a US culture verily eager to destroy freedoms that little scumfuck could never even dream to touch himself–I would like to deny him the last little check on the clipboard, i.e., constant terror. I panic, they win. To coin a phrase, Osama Bin Laden can suck my insouciance.
Sanity.
